What if my books are damaged in shipment?

Contact us as soon as possible to let us know and send photographs as email attachments to [email protected]. We need photos of the following: - The damaged item, showing the damage - The front of the item - The back of the item, showing the barcode - The mailing label on the outside of the package - The packing slip inside the package

We’ll file the proper claim on our end and get a new book sent to you ASAP.

Will tariffs affect shipping prices?

There is no way to predict for sure what will happen with USA tariff policies (and on reciprocal tariffs that other countries apply to goods from the USA), but we’ll keep you in the loop as things develop. The add-on items are already printed, so no tariff impact will be felt there. The new books will be printed in the USA (and those going to Europe with a partner printer in the UK, those in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia from a printer in Australia), so there should be no tariff impacts for customers in those areas.

Customers in Canada and Mexico won’t face a tariff issue per se, but it is possible their government may impose import duties on products coming from the USA in response to US tariff policies.

We’ll start shipping books in mid-October, once backer surveys are finalized and shipping is paid.

Are print prices increasing for Legendary Games books?

They are. Paper, ink, and printing prices have been increasing for a while, and we’ve been trying to buffer the impact on pricing but there’s only so much we can absorb. Our domestic printing partner announced a pricing increase that went into effect April 1st. We’re absorbing the loss on past projects that haven’t been fulfilled yet (Arcforge and African Monsters), but we have had to increase print prices going forward.

There is an indirect impact of tariff policy on printing prices, given both constrained supply of printing and also the fact that the US imports a lot of its paper and fiber products as well as inks and dyes from overseas. That interconnected supply chain increases prices downstream for printed books, on top of ordinary inflation.

What if I'm a retailer?

Send us an email directly at [email protected] and we can set up an order for you at wholesale prices. Send us the address of your store and the items you’d like to purchase and we’ll invoice you.

What happens if I need to change my address?

You can change your address in Backerkit directly up until the point when we lock addresses to begin shipment. We’ll be starting shipping very soon, so if you anticipate your address changing within the next month, then we advise you to use your new address to make sure your books get to you. You also could consider shipping your items to a friend or family member if your address is uncertain. As always, you can reach out to us if you have specific questions at [email protected].

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
